……………………………………………………………
The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) wants your ideas to develop a Federal framework for public participation and community engagement (PPCE) activities! This framework will help Federal agencies more broadly and meaningfully engage with you and your communities.

 The work of the Federal Government impacts millions of people each day. Federal agencies take a variety of actions to consult with those directly affected by policies, regulations, and programs. This engagement may occur through notice and comment processes, Requests for Information (RFIs), listening sessions, town halls, crowdsourcing, and much more. These interactions can be powerful in helping government deliver better outcomes for all Americans. OMB needs your input by May 17, 2024 to ensure that Federal Government PPCE activities are accessible and connected to the interests and priorities of ALL members of the public!

 WHAT:

OMB seeks feedback on:

  1. Experiences of individuals and organizations, including from underserved communities, with participating in Federal Government PPCE activities;

  2. Content (e.g., leading practices, tools, and metrics) to incorporate in a Federal framework for PPCE; and

  3. Process for OMB to continue co-developing this framework with the public.

 HOW:

 WHEN:

  • By May 17, 2024!

 Please share this call for input with colleagues and others, including those who may be familiar with effective outreach to underserved communities. Let’s make government work better for everyone!
