The purpose of our Task Force is to bring together those people in Gratiot County interested in the proper and complete cleanup of the Velsicol Superfund Site and related sites in the Pine River basin. Since the organizing of our group in 1997 and becoming officially recognized as a community advisory group (CAG) under regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, we have provided a public forum for community members to present and discuss their needs and concerns about contaminated sites within the Pine River watershed. Meetings of the Task Force are held at 7:00 pm on the third Wednesday of each month in the Council Chambers in the St. Louis Municipal Building on the corner of Main and Saginaw streets in St. Louis, Michigan.
