On August 26th CAG officers met with SKEO consultants to discuss TASC contract for US EPA. We are waiting on a final contract.
On July 25, 2024, the CAG sent an official letter to the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Public Documents Division, requesting records tied to radioactive waste at the FPS. We received a response on August 7th and followed up with a more detailed request on August 22nd. The librarian promptly responded with more information related specifically to the FPS and offered helpful instructions.
Gary and Brittany are preparing the TAG quarterly reports for EPA. Gary also prepared and submitted a three-year extension request for the FPS TAG last month.
The Morning Sun published an article about the Michigan PBB Registry community meetings on August 18th.
CAG officers attended and participated in community panels for the Michigan PBB Registry, which held community meetings at CMU on Saturday, September 7th, and in Big Rapids on Sunday, September 8th.
Brittany Fremion, Ben Peterson (Alma College), and Norm Keon did a presentation on the PBB Disaster for CMU’s Clarke Historical Library Speaker Series on Monday, September 9th.
